Mireia Martínez

My name is Mireia Martínez and I am an English/French > Spanish/Catalan translator from Barcelona, Spain.

Since I started learning these languages as a child, my interest in languages and foreign cultures has always gone up. After getting my degree in Translation and Interpreting studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, I am currently working as an English teacher at a language school for children, teenagers and adults. I have performed translation tasks in my job, as well as proofreading and editing assignments.

Teaching has helped me to develop great communication skills, to become a good time manager, to be patient and work efficiently under pressure and to find the balance between working in a team and using my own initiative. I am an IT passionate, too: I believe that technology is essential for education and, because of that, I invest a lot of time in searching, testing and trying out new ways to make my lessons more interactive.

Teacher, translator, but, above all, I am an enthusiastic, perfectionist person who enjoys challenge and striving for new goals.
